Dental care is as important to your health as any other area. There are are many ailments caused by poor dental health. Certainly nothing is more effective than good oral hygiene and regular checkups. We here at Harris Insurance Consulting recommend dental plans as opposed to dental insurance. Dental insurance is a monthly bill which is usually around ten dollars and when you need serious work done, you have a copay to the dentist.

     From my personal experience as an example, I had a job that I paid a premium of eight dollars a month for dental insurance. After a couple of years of paying premiums, it was discovered I needed to either have extensive treatment for acute gum disease or opt for dentures. I chose the dentures which  was less expensive plus with treatment for the gum disease was not going to save many teeth. The price for the dentures at the insurance dentist would have created a bill to me of eighteen hundred dollars so I checked a dental discount office and got a price of twelve hundred dollars. I had not been paying that dentist a monthly premium and did not have to pay any after his service. I have been sold on Dental Plans ever since.
